Ingredients

  • 150g canned tuna in olive oil, drained
  • 100g cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 50g cucumber, diced
  • 30g red onion, finely sliced
  • 50g black olives, pitted and sliced
  • 15g fresh parsley, chopped
  • 15g fresh basil, chopped
  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Steps

  1. Place the drained tuna in a large bowl and gently flake it using a fork.
  2. Add the halved cherry tomatoes, diced cucumber, sliced red onion, and olives to the bowl.
  3. Sprinkle over the chopped parsley and basil for fresh herbal notes.
  4. Drizzle the olive oil and lemon juice evenly over the salad.
  5. Toss everything together carefully to combine but keep the texture intact.
  6. Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
  7. Serve immediately on its own, or with crusty bread for a heartier option.
